imagine if you were a transformer and your husband went MIA during his time as an espionage agent and you went looking for him. he is missing for so long he is presumed dead and so you marry another guy who has a life-threatening addiction to infiltrating peoples minds. what if he got pressured into relapsing which causes a chain of events that ends up with him mercy-killing you. that sucks, but also what if it turns out theres an alternate universe version of you that basically ends up as your replacement. okay youre the alternate universe version now. so what if after all this you actually end up finding your other MIA husband ALIVE and not only has he been tortured and mentally incapacitated. now what if you were forced to choose to kill one of your husbands. this is one plotline.
